A widely grown heirloom specialty variety often sold as a “baby” blue potato. Tubers are smooth, oblong, medium-size, with deep-blue to almost purple skin and brilliant purple, moist, firm flesh with slightly grainy texture. Excellent steamed, mashed, microwaved, roasted and chipped. This is the variety that is often used for making blue potato chips. Late maturity and long dormancy.
